Raiders Participate In The 2022 Hip Hop Entrepreneurship Workshop

The 2022 Hip Hop Entrepreneurship Workshop program continues for its second year

Members of the Las Vegas Raiders took part in the 2022 Hip Hop Entrepreneurship Workshop to engage with the young community of Southern Nevada. Professional players joined middle school students to connect and share their interests in culture, sports, and music.

Las Vegas Raiders rookies Sam Webb and Matthew Butler visited Grant Sawyer Middle School in Las Vegas to attend the 2022 Hip Hop Entrepreneurship Workshop and helped students focus on the importance of their academics and attendance. The two shared their stories and experiences about their path to becoming professional athletes in the NFL as well as the value of preparation for both academic assignments and their careers in sports.

Throughout the program, Butler and Webb took part in a discussion about the evolution of hip hop’s impact on popular culture using artists’ clothing brands as a business. The players and students collaborated on an activity to analyze song lyrics for advice on how to live their lives.
