Eagles vs Raiders Week 7 | 2021 Season

In their second game under Rich Bisaccia, the Las Vegas Raiders came out victorious once again in the Eagles vs Raiders matchup back home at Allegiant Stadium. Without tight end Darren Waller, quarterback Derek Carr had to use the other weapons at hand to combat the 2-4 Eagles.

Carr finished the game with 325 yards with a touchdown each to backup tight end Foster Moreau and receiver Bryan Edwards. His only pick came down late in the first quarter when he targeted running back Jalen Richard down the middle only to get intercepted by Eagles cornerback Avonte Maddox.

Jalen Hurts continued to showcase his solid second year performance with 236 passing yards, 2 passing touchdowns, and 61 rushing yards on thirteen carries. His two TDs went to running back Kenneth Gainwell and sophomore receiver Jalen Reagor.

On the rushing attack, Raiders’ Josh Jacobs had to exit the field at the end of the first half due to a chest injury but tallied up 29 yards and a touchdown on six carries. With the Las Vegas Raiders up 17-7 starting the second half, running back Kenyan Drake was able to score on a 4-yard rush to bring up the lead.

Eagles running back Boston Scott gave Philly their lone rushing touchdown early in the fourth quarter. Daniel Carlson kicked his second field goal to widen the gap to 33-14 and the Hurts/Reagor connection topped off the end of the game to a 33-22 win for the Las Vegas Raiders.

With this win, Raiders are now 5-2 and leading the AFC West. The Silver & Black will look forward to a much needed bye next week in Week 8 as we hope to get Waller and Jacobs back healthy for the following Week 9 game versus the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium.
