The Las Vegas Raiders signed free-agent guard Marquel Harrell on Thursday
Second year free-agent guard Marquel Harrell was signed by the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday. Harrell played 43 games and made 31 starts for the Auburn Tigers during his collegiate career and was named third-team All-SEC in 2018.
He was also named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll for each of his five seasons at Auburn.
In 2020, Marquel Harrell went undrafted but he later on signed with the Buffalo Bills practice squad.
Although Harrell didn’t make the roster, he spent the entire offseason with the team before being signed to the practice squad for the final five games of the season back in December.
Depending on how well Harrell performs during training camp, he might be added to the Las Vegas Raiders practice squad at this early stage of his career.
He also has the option of earning a spot on the Raiders main roster special teams later on in the season.
