Las Vegas Raiders claim DL Jerry Tillery via waivers
Announced today, the Las Vegas Raiders claim DL Jerry Tillery from waivers on Monday. The former Los Angeles Charger first round pick was waived last Thursday night.
Tillery was the 28th overall pick of the 2019 NFL Draft and spent four years with the Chargers while recording 106 tackles, 57 solo tackles, 12 tackles for loss, 10.5 sacks, two passes defensed, one fumble recovery, and three forced fumbles. Over the course of his career, the 6-foot-6, 295-pound defensive lineman started in 29 games out of the 54 games played.
Last season, Tillery posted career highs in tackles, sacks, QB hits, and TFLs with 51, 4.5, 14, and 6, respectively. Tillery spent four seasons at the University of Notre Dame and recorded 135 tackles, 70 solo tackles, 13.5 sacks, and four forced fumbles over 50 games.
