Raiders draft DT Nesta Jade Silvera with 231st overall pick
With the 231st overall pick in the seventh round of the 2023 NFL Draft, the Las Vegas Raiders draft DT Nesta Jade Silvera from Arizona State University.
Silvera transferred from the University of Miami to Arizona State, where he recorded 56 total tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, three pass deflections, and 1.5 sacks in his season as a graduate transfer. As a Miami Hurricane, he recorded 105 total tackles, 16 tackles for loss, and two sacks throughout his four seasons.
The 6-foot-2, 315 pound defensive tackle was one of the top defensive linemen coming out of high school, and from 2018 to 2021 he was a mainstay for Miami, appearing in 41 games. Silvera received an All-ACC Honorable Mention in 2020 and led all interior lineman with 35 total tackles and eight tackles for loss.
As the Las Vegas Raiders draft DT Nesta Jade Silvera, they receive a nice young tackle with great strength and speed.
