Raiders draft LB Amari Burney with 203rd overall pick
With the 203rd overall pick in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL Draft, the Las Vegas Raiders draft LB Amari Burney from the University of Florida.
Over the course of five seasons, Burney played in 55 games for the Florida Gators. The linebacker made a total of 41 solo tackles, nine tackles for loss, four sacks, and two picks while starting every game in 2022.
Measured at 6-foot-1 and weighing 233 pounds, Burney led his team in picks that year and was surely a defensive nuisance in his position. He was a four time SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll and is considered super versatile for his position as LB.
