Raiders Pick 22nd Overall In The 2022 NFL Draft

The 2022 NFL Draft will be held on April 28 to April 30, and Raiders pick 22nd overall

Eliminated in the NFL Super Wild Card round, the Las Vegas Raiders pick 22nd overall in the upcoming 2022 NFL Draft. The Raiders 2021-2022 season has come to an end after the Wild Card Weekend showdown against the Cincinnati Bengals.

The Raiders pick 22nd overall now that their draft status is confirmed. The order of the draft is determined by the team’s final record, with strength of schedule used as a tiebreaker when necessary, and concludes with the Super Bowl champion selecting at pick 32 and the losing Super Bowl team selecting at pick 31 in the first round. The 2022 Draft will be held in Las Vegas on April 28 and will run through April 30.

A couple of the Raiders 2022 draft picks have come as a result of trades. Following the Raiders 22nd overall pick, they will also have a fifth-round pick obtained from the New England Patriots in March 2021 as part of the Trent Brown (OT) transaction. Las Vegas also handed their seventh-round pick to New England as part of the package.

After the Raiders pick 22nd overall along with their fifth-rounder, they will be absent from the sixth round after trading their pick to the Carolina Panthers in exchange for middle linebacker Denzel Perryman and a 2022 seventh-round pick. This is the smallest amount of draft capital the team has had in several years.

There’s an urge for the Las Vegas Raiders to find two immediate starters with two picks inside the top-55 selections. To note, the Tennessee Titans drafted Virginia Tech cornerback Caleb Farley at #22 last year. So who will go to the Raiders 22nd overall pick?

It’s no easy task for the Las Vegas Raiders to overcome the obstacles that occurred throughout this season, but there’s no better time to start than now. Starting with the 2022 NFL Draft, now is the moment for this team to take the next step and establish itself as a serious AFC contender.
