Announced Monday, Las Vegas Raiders re-sign DT Johnathan Hankins
The Las Vegas Raiders re-sign DT Johnathan Hankins who has played for the Silver & Black for four seasons from 2018 through 2021. Hankins has previous experience with new Las Vegas Raiders defensive coordinator Patrick Graham as both were part of the New York Giants organization in 2016.
The 6’3”, 340-pound defensive tackle has started in all but five games during his four years with the Silver & Black. Appearing in 61 games, Hankins has recorded 172 tackles, 91 solo tackles, 2.5 sacks, 13 tackles for loss (TFL), two passes defensed, and three fumble recoveries. Last season in 2021, he started in 14 games while recording 38 tackles, 15 solo tackles, one TFL, and one pass defensed.
As the Las Vegas Raiders re-sign DT Johnathan Hankins, he would become the fourth DT signing of this offseason, joining Vernon Butler, Bilal Nichols, and Kyle Peko. Since free agency began, Hankins is the Raiders’ third unrestricted free agent to return to the roster and the team’s 24th new veteran.
A native from Dearborn Heights, Michigan, Mullens spent three years at Ohio State where he was named All-American Second Team and All-Big Ten Conference selection in his junior year in 2013.
