Raiders Re-sign G Alex Bars

Las Vegas Raiders re-sign G Alex Bars to a one-year deal

Announced on Thursday, the Las Vegas Raiders re-sign G Alex Bars to a one-year contract. Bars was a huge factor last season as part of the Raiders offensive line who helped Josh Jacobs achieve his career year.

Bars himself also had a career year in 2022 starting in a career high 14 games at guard. Initially signed as an undrafted free agent in 2019 with the Chicago Bears, Bars has played in 15 games in his time with the Silver and Black while starting 14 of them.

The Nashville, Tennessee native played three seasons at the University of Notre Dame from 2016 to 2018, starting 32 of his 36 games at right tackle, right guard, and left guard. Bars was named to the Sporting News All-American First Team in 2018 as a junior.

Only giving up 5.5 sacks and one holding penalty last season, the guard has cemented himself as a key part of the Raiders offense. As the Las Vegas Raiders re-sign G Alex Bars, they look to beef up their o-line along with the recent signings of Brandon Parker, Jermain Eluemunor, and Netane Muti.
