Las Vegas Raiders sign CB Sidney Jones IV, place LB Divine Deablo on IR

Announced today, the Las Vegas Raiders sign CB Sidney Jones IV, the former Seattle Seahawk. After spending time with the Philadelphia Eagles (2017-2019), the Jacksonville Jaguars (2020), and the Seattle Seahawks (2021–2022), Jones IV now joins the Silver and Black.

The 6-foot, 186-pound Diamond Bar, California native has played in 50 games while starting 25 and recorded 144 tackles, 110 solo tackles, four picks, 29 passes defensed, and one forced fumble. Drafted by the Eagles in the 2017 NFL Draft with the 43rd overall pick, the former University of Washington athlete suffered a torn Achilles during Washington’s pro day. As a result, Jones IV only played in one game during his rookie season.

The addition of Jones IV helps add more depth to the Raiders secondary. Last season, he played in 16 games while starting 11 and recorded career high in tackles and passes defensed with 66 and 10, respectively. As the Las Vegas Raiders sign CB Sidney Jones IV, the sixth year corner is expected to step in and play immediately as a starter.
