Las Vegas Raiders sign DE Tashawn Bower following an announcement on Monday
The Las Vegas Raiders sign DE Tashawn Bower who played with both the Minnesota Vikings and the New England Patriots. The 6’5”, 250-pound edge rusher signed with the Vikings in 2017 as an undrafted free agent and made the 53-man roster.
Following a torn Achilles injury during the 2019 offseason, Bower signed with the Patriots practice squad and became part of their active roster for a couple games in the 2020 season. In his career, he has played in 20 games and recorded 22 tackles, 16 solo tackles, four TFLs, two sacks, and one pass defensed. In his collegiate career, Bower played in 40 games with the LSU Tigers and recorded 60 tackles, 12 TFLs, 5.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles. Bower, 27, attended Immaculata High School in Somerville, New Jersey, and grew up in Kenilworth, New Jersey.
In addition, offensive lineman Kamaal Seymour was waived with a non-football injury designation.
