Las Vegas Raiders sign DL Jordan Willis
Announced on Monday afternoon, the Las Vegas Raiders sign DL Jordan Willis. Willis joins the Silver and Black after playing with the San Francisco 49ers the previous two seasons.
Willis was originally selected by the Cincinnati Bengals at 73rd overall in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft. He has appeared in 69 games with two starts over the course of his NFL career, recording 91 tackles, 55 solo tackles, 10.5 sacks, 15 tackles for loss, one pass defensed, three forced fumbles, and three fumble recoveries.
In 2020, Willis joined the 49ers in a trade with the Jets and played in 26 regular season games along with six postseason games through to the end of last season. In his regular season games, he recorded 27 tackles, 7.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery. In the postseason, he recorded five tackles.
The Kansas City, Missouri native played for Kansas State between 2013 and 2016, making 114 tackles, 40.5 TFLs, 26 sacks, and seven forced fumbles. Willis won the Big 12 Defensive Lineman of the Year, First-Team All-Big 12, and Defensive Player of the Year awards as a senior.
As the Raiders sign DL Jordan Willis, they add experienced depth going into the 2023-2024 season.
