Las Vegas Raiders sign G Alex Bars to active roster
Announced on Saturday, the Las Vegas Raiders sign G Alex Bars from the practice squad to the active roster. Originally signed as an unrestricted free agent back in March 2022, Bars joined the practice squad after his stint with the Chicago Bears from 2019 to 2021.
A native of Nashville, Tennessee, Bars has started in 11 games over the last two seasons at his time in Chicago. Last season he played in all 17 regular season games while starting five.
As the Raiders sign G Alex Bars, they hope to fill in some gaps in the offensive line. So far this season, the rotations have been an interesting development due to having a non reliable starting lineup. Bars brings value because of his experience and the fact that he spent the offseason working in the Raiders offense.
