Raiders Sign OT Jackson Barton, Re-Sign DT Kyle Peklo and CB Bryce Cosby

Las Vegas Raiders sign OT Jackson Barton to active roster

On the very next day following the DT Johnathan Hankins trade brings us the Wednesday announcement that the Las Vegas Raiders sign OT Jackson Barton. In addition, the franchise has also re-signed DT Kyle Peko and CB Bryce Cosby to the practice squad.

After spending the first two weeks of the season on the active roster and playing in two games, Barton returned to the Raiders practice squad in Week 5. The 6 foot 7, 302 pound offensive tackle has played in four games in his career, and all with the Raiders since his welcoming in 2021. Makes sense that the Raiders sign OT Jackson Barton after the news of Hankins.

Peko has played in 21 games in his career, including three starts since 2016. He has recorded 23 tackles, 14 solo tackles, two sacks, and one forced fumble. He participated in training camp with the Raiders and played one game as part of the team’s practice squad.

Cosby joined the Raiders in 2022 as an undrafted free agent and played the first five weeks of the season on the practice squad. In 57 games over five years at Ball State, he recorded 392 tackles, five sacks, 10 interceptions, 26 passes defensed, three forced fumbles, and three fumble recoveries.

Jermaine Eluemunor, the Raiders right tackle, was injured last Sunday after only 14 snaps. If Eluemunor can’t play this upcoming week against the New Orleans Saints, Barton will provide a good safety net.

As the Raiders sign OT Jackson Barton, they have also re-signed Isaiah Pola-Mao to the practice squad. The former USC safety was waived by the Raiders after the Matthias Farley signing.
