Raiders Sign S Duron Harmon

Announced Thursday, the Las Vegas Raiders sign S Duron Harmon

The Las Vegas Raiders sign S Duron Harmon for his 10th NFL season. Harmon has previously played with the Atlanta Falcons (2021), the Detroit Lions (2020) and the New England Patriots (2013–19) who drafted the safety in the 2013 NFL Draft 91st overall.

Harmon is a familiar face for both head coach Josh McDaniels and General Manager Dave Ziegler for his time with the Patriots. All three entered the Boston franchise in 2013 and remained with the organization through 2019. Together, they won three Super Bowls (XLIX, LI, LII) in 2015, 2017 and 2019.

Raiders sign S Duron Harmon, the 6-foot, 205 pound safety, having played 144 games while starting 62 in his career. With the Falcons, Harmon started all 17 games and recorded 64 tackles (42 solo tackles), two picks, and five passes defended. He has totaled 305 tackles (228 solo tackles), 21 interceptions, 38 passes defended, one forced fumble, and three fumble recoveries in his NFL career.

The Delaware native spent four seasons at Rutgers from 2009 to 2012 and can definitely be a top backup and maybe even compete with Johnathan Abram in the position.
