Las Vegas Raiders sign S Isaiah Pola-Mao to active roster
Announced on Wednesday, the Las Vegas Raiders sign S Isaiah Pola-Mao from the practice squad to the active roster.
The undrafted free agent safety, who’s 6 foot 3 and weighs 210 pounds, joined the Raiders in 2022 as a free agent and played in two season games. After training camp in spring, Pola-Mao made the Raiders active roster before re-signing in Week 4 to the practice squad.
The Las Vegas Raiders opened up a roster spot as they waived Johnathan Abram on Tuesday. To fill the hole at safety, the Raiders sign S Isaiah Pola-Mao although safeties Duron Harmon and Tre’von Moehrig will most likely remain as the team’s starters.
Pola-Mao, a Phoenix, Arizona native, played four years of college football for USC. He started 29 out of 32 games and recorded 178 tackles, 129 solo tackles, nine tackles for loss, five picks, recovered four fumbles, and forced one fumble.
In addition, the Las Vegas Raiders have also signed S Jalen Elliott to the practice squad. The 6-foot, 210 pound Elliot played eight games for the Detroit Lions last season and posted eight tackles and four solo tackles.
