Las Vegas Raiders sign S Marcus Epps

Announced on Thursday, the Las Vegas Raiders sign S Marcus Epps to a 2-year, $12 million deal. The former Philadelphia Eagle played in every game for Philly last season.

Epps was originally claimed by Philadelphia off waivers from the Minnesota Vikings during the 2019 season, and a few years later he became a regular starter for the Eagles. The 6-foot, 191 pound safety spent four years with the Eagles from 2019 to 2022 after being drafted by the Vikings in the 2019 NFL Draft at 191st overall in the sixth round.

In 2022, Epps started in all 17 games and reached career highs in tackles with 92 and passes defensed with six. Epps was able to reach Super Bowl LVII with the Eagles and totaled 13 tackles during the postseason.

The Huntington Beach, California native spent his collegiate career at Wyoming from 2014 to 2018 and started in 50 games. There, Epps recorded 325 tackles, nine picks, and 31 passes defensed.

As the Las Vegas Raiders sign S Marcus Epps, they acquire a young, strong safety going into his fifth NFL season who has great playoff experience.
