Raiders vs Broncos Week 11 | 2022 Season

In what resulted in a 22–16 overtime victory for the Silver and Black, the Raiders vs Broncos Week 11 matchup at Empower Field at Mile High on Sunday was a success. On their very first possession in OT, quarterback Derek Carr found receiver Davante Adams and connected on a 35-yard touchdown to take the golden goal.

“I’ve always loved those moments,” said Carr about his game-winning touchdown. “That’s what I dreamed of as a kid.”

Carr finished the day surpassing 300 yards with 307 on 23 completions on 37 attempts and two touchdowns. Adams has been on fire as of late, recording his third consecutive game this season of over 120 receiving yards. With team highs in receptions and targets with seven and 13 respectively, both Carr and Adams look well in-sync going into the second half of the 2022–2023 NFL season.

Receiver Mack Hollins also had a good share with six catches on nine targets and 52 yards as he saw more reps with Hunter Renfrow sitting out on injured reserve. Running back Josh Jacobs gained a total of 51 through the air and added 109 yards on the ground, his first 100+ yard showing since Week 7. As the lone running back of the day for the Las Vegas Raiders, he gained an average of 4.5 yards per carry on his 24 rushing attempts.

After the Denver Broncos took the lead throughout the first half, the Raiders were able to catch up with a touchdown prior to halftime as Carr and Adams connected on their first score of the Raiders vs Broncos Week 11 game. The Silver and Black played even keel thanks to kicker Daniel Carlson who finished the game with three made field goals, two of them going 50+ yards. Carlson did miss his first field goal of the season on his first attempt of the day.

Broncos kicker Brandon McManus also got his share at the post with three field goals made, but Carlson came in the clutch as the Raiders were down 13–16 with only 1:43 left in the 4th quarter. Carr was able to utilize his receivers along with Jacobs to bring his team to scoring position at the 25-yard line. With the kick, Carlson tied the game.

With the Raiders taking the first offensive possession in OT, they were able to score in only three downs as Carr found a wide open Adams running toward the end zone. The Raiders are now 3-7 for the season following their Week 11 win.
