The Las Vegas Raiders played good enough ball throughout three quarters in the Raiders vs Dolphins Week 11 game on the road at Hard Rock Stadium but were completely dismantled in the fourth while giving up three scoring possessions. We guess the bye week just wasn’t enough time for the Raiders to figure things out.
Raiders quarterback Gardner Minshew II got the start once again and retained his play through the entire game. Throwing for 30 completions off 43 attempts with a 93.4 QB Rating, Minshew had a very solid game passing for two touchdowns on 282 yards. Rookie tight end Brock Bowers was one of Minshew’s recipients, who had a monster game catching 13 receptions for 126 yards and one TD.
Raiders running back Ameer Abdullah caught the other touchdown from Minshew, who threw to him in the fourth to put the game closer down 24-19. With only five minutes left in the game and down one possession, the Raiders had a close chance of being able to win the game, but if only the defensive execution was flawless.
Raiders vs Dolphins Week 11 | 2024 Season Highlights

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa completed 28 of his 36 passing attempts, throwing for 288 yards and three touchdowns. With just under three and a half minutes left in the game, Tua found tight end Jonnu Smith on a massive 57 yard touchdown play that put a dagger into the Raiders’ hearts, leaving them down two possessions with barely any time left to play.
To add salt to the wound, Dolphins cornerback Jalen Ramsey picked off Minshew during their last drive of the game, marking the QB’s 12th turnover for the 2024 season.
“We just have to keep executing and strain a little bit more,” said Raiders Coach Antonio Pierce. “We had opportunities. Brock had a big day. I thought Gardner got rid of the ball quickly in the passing game. Opportunities there for shots, but we didn’t get them down there again.”
Tua led his team through three successful scoring drives that lasted over seven minutes, something that was quite alarming in hindsight. Hopefully the Raiders defense can work on this. Nothing will be easy next week when the Silver and Black travel back home to host rookie QB Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos in Week 12.
