The Silver and Black didn’t have an answer for Najee Harris’ 106-yard rushing day as they lost 32-13 in the Raiders vs Steelers game in Week 6. This was Najee’s first 100+ yard game since last year when he finished the season with back to back 100+ yard efforts. Can the Raiders even buy a win at this point?
The energy seems to be lacking all around. With quarterback Gardner Minshew out and Aidan O’Connell filling in, the Raiders had no answer to Pittsburgh’s defense, only scoring two touchdowns throughout the game. Raiders running back Alexander Mattison recorded his third touchdown of the season on a 3-yard rush into the end zone in the first quarter.
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Justin Fields rushed his first touchdown of the game as the clock ticked down in the second quarter. His second came in the middle of the fourth for seven yards, marking his first two rush TD game since 2022 as a Chicago Bear. Fields went 14 for 24 with 145 passing yards, while O’Connell completed 27 passes on 40 attempts for 227 yards.

In the second half, the Steelers forced both a fumble and a blocked punt, causing the Raiders to bleed even more as the team was without superstar receiver Davante Adams due to a hamstring injury. Also with the trade rumors roaming around, it’s definitely not looking good for Raiders Nation.
O’Connell’s lone touchdown of the game went to receiver Kristian Wilkerson for a 9-yard TD with five minutes left to play. Down 29-13, the Raiders had absolutely no chance to come back down two possessions. Steelers kicker Chris Boswell hammered down the final nail in the coffin with a 36-yard field goal in the fourth.
It can only go up from here right? Our fingers are crossed as the Raiders will travel to SoFi Stadium in Week 7 to match up with the Los Angeles Rams.
