In a back to back loss, the Raiders vs Lions Week 8 ended in a 26-14 win for The Motor City as Lions rookie running back Jahmyr Gibbs recorded his first ever 150+ rushing yard game. As of now, the Lions looks like the favorites to come out at the top in the NFC North.

After three consecutive field goals by Detroit Lions kicker Riley Patterson, the Silver and Black were up on the board as Josh Jacobs led his team to a 3-yard touchdown toward the end of the 2nd quarter. Lions receiver Sam LaPorta caught quarterback Jared Goff’s lone passing touchdown less than a minute prior to halftime on an 18-yarder to extend the lead to 7-16.

The Las Vegas Raiders defense came out of the half guns blazing, as cornerback Marcus Peters picked off Goff in the 3rd quarter for a whopping 75-yard touchdown. It seemed as if the momentum of the game would shift here, but the Lions were able to finish the quarter with another touchdown with Gibbs dominating the ground.
