In a 30-6 victory in the Raiders vs Giants Week 9 matchup, the Las Vegas Raiders defeated the Daniel Jones-less New York Giants on Sunday to reach a record of 4-5. Running back Josh Jacobs led all running backs that day with two touchdowns and 98 yards on the ground through 26 carries. Wait what’s that smell? Must be the sweet smell of victory…and locker room cigars.

A number of Silver and Back jerseys lit up the locker room post game with cigars in celebration of the team’s first victory in three weeks. Following the firing of coach Josh McDaniels, general manager Dave Ziegler, and offensive coordinator Mick Lombardi, there was surely something different about the air at Allegiant Stadium, amidst the clouds of smoke.

The win was due to a complete team effort. Three of the Raiders’ eight sacks were recorded by defensive end Maxx Crosby. The blowout 24-point differential was the Raiders’ biggest margin of victory since defeating the Denver Broncos 37-12 on November 15, 2020.
