Raiders Celebrate Juneteenth 2024 at Raiders HQ
The Las Vegas Raiders celebrate Juneteenth 2024 on the indoor practice fields at Raiders Headquarters, Intermountain Health Performance Center. B.A.S.E.D. in Sports, an Employee Resource Group (ERG) inside the Las Vegas Raiders organization, sponsored a “Family Reunion” in honor of Juneteenth.
The occasion provided a chance to emphasize the value of promoting an inclusive workplace and honoring diversity as the Raiders celebrate Juneteenth 2024. The “Family Reunion” also gave Black-owned local companies a chance to highlight their specialties and products, such as Servin 702 Shaved Ice, We in the Kitchen, Craving Creole, Braud Funnel Cake, and Simply Puree.
Other showcase vendors included Our Reflections Toothbrush Company, Vibes DIY Studio, Tofu Tees, The Blade Barbershop, Pieces of Luv Candle Co., and Urban Chamber. Entertainment included performances by Alpha Kappa Alpha and Kappa Alpha Psi, as well as DJ Elektrk. Raiders alumni that showed up included Usama Young.
The goal of B.A.S.E.D In Sports is to foster an inclusive atmosphere for staff members at all levels and to support diversity among Black personnel. B.A.S.E.D In Sports looks for ways to engage Black talent within the organization and the Las Vegas community in order to connect and assist them.
Standing for “Black and Silver Efforts in Diversity”, B.A.S.E.D., is one of the Raiders’ several ERGs. The Las Vegas Raiders celebrate Juneteenth 2024 as well as Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month during a similar event that was held in May. Diversity, equity, and inclusion served as the cornerstone of the Raiders, and the creation of these internal groups is a continuation of that enduring dedication.
A federal and state holiday, Juneteenth honors the abolition of slavery in the United States. Please join us in celebrating the entire month of June while embracing freedom.
