Raiders Visit Las Vegas Wheelchair Football League

AJ Cole and Jakob Johnson offer guidance to the Las Vegas Wheelchair Football League

This week, members and veterans of the Las Vegas Wheelchair Football League were embraced by Las Vegas Raiders punter AJ Cole and fullback Jakob Johnson who visited one of the team’s practices to offer support. The team is currently preparing for their upcoming regional tournament in Buffalo, New York.

The Raiders and the City of Las Vegas Wheelchair Football League collaborated to encourage inclusion of people with a range of abilities. This event took place at the Dula Community Center in Las Vegas and drew thirty guests.

For teams to be eligible to play in the post-season tournament, they must first participate in two of the four regional tournaments held by the USA Wheelchair Football League. The Las Vegas team is excited to travel to Buffalo this weekend after competing in the Chicago event in August.
