The Silver and Black welcomed 200 girl athletes from Southern Nevada high school flag football groups as the Las Vegas Raiders host Nike 11-On event at the Intermountain Healthcare Performance Center in Henderson, Nevada.

On the same indoor practice field as the Raiders, the flag football players engaged in 7-on-7 passing scrimmages. The session was organized ahead of the start of the NIAA girls flag football season on November 12, with the girls competing in a combination of activities and finishing the day with a tournament.

While the Raiders host Nike 11-On event, it’s described as “a unique endeavor that focuses on team play over individual recognition and provides development for athletes on both sides of the ball. The 11-On initiative supports scholastic high school football team competition that focuses on building transferable life skills while also creating an alternative to individual all-star formats.”

This summer, over 200 student boy athletes from eight Southern Nevada high schools also participated as Raiders host Nike 11-On event presented inside the Intermountain Healthcare Performance Center. The football teams including Arbor View, Basic, Canyon Springs, Centennial, Desert Pines, Green Valley, Las Vegas, and Liberty High School competed in lineman drills, 7-on-7 passing, and a team relay race.

The Southern Nevada High School Girls Flag Football All Star Game was part of the Las Vegas Raiders “Inspire” event, which they co-hosted for the second year in a row with Allegiant Airlines and the Southern Nevada Flag Football Coaches Association. Before the game, the girls took part in a combine event that served as a showcase for them to successfully complete physical and mental tests in a bid to attract college recruiters.
