Las Vegas Raiders sign CB David Long Jr. to a one-year deal
Announced on Wednesday, the Las Vegas Raiders sign CB David Long Jr. The unrestricted free agent was selected at the 79th overall pick in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft by the Los Angeles Rams.
Long played all of his first four years in the NFL with the Rams where he recorded 75 tackles, 66 solo tackles, one pick, and seven passes defensed over 52 games and 10 starts. Last season, the cornerback played in 12 games while starting in four and had a career-high 21 tackles.
The Los Angeles native has some playoff experience under his belt, playing in six postseason games and starting one. Over the course of those games, Long has recorded 12 tackles, 11 solo tackles, one pick six, and one pass defensed.
Long spent his collegiate career at the University of Michigan from 2016 to 2018 where he was named as part of the 2018 All-Big Ten First-Team and 2017 All-Big Ten.
As the Las Vegas Raiders sign CB David Long, the 25 year old nickel corner should gain some nice reps this upcoming season for the Silver and Black.
