Las Vegas Raiders sign CB Marcus Peters

Announced on Monday, the Las Vegas Raiders sign CB Marcus Peters to a one-year deal. The 30-year-old is about to start his ninth NFL season following his stint with the Kansas City Chiefs, who drafted the cornerback in the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft, and the Baltimore Ravens from 2019 to 2022.

At 6-foot, 197-pounds, Peters has recorded 32 career picks, 92 passes defensed, 12 forced fumbles,10 fumbles recoveries, and seven defensive touchdowns. Statistically, that’s 26 more picks than all of the Raiders cornerbacks combined!

Although missing the entire 2021 season due to a torn ACL, Peters recorded 99 tackles, 25 passes defended, and eight interceptions in his three seasons with the Baltimore Ravens. He has three interceptions in the postseason, which is tied for the most in the league since 2015.

The three-time Pro Bowler (2016-17, 2019) and Associated Press first-team All-Pro (2016, 2019) is a native of Oakland, California. Yup, he sure grew up a Raiders fan.

As the Las Vegas Raiders sign CB Marcus Peters, we expect to see the 2015 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year with a bounce-back season.
