Las Vegas Raiders sign LB Kanai Mauga

Announced on Tuesday, the Las Vegas Raiders sign LB Kanai Mauga who has spent some time with the Raiders practice squad last season after entering the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Denver Broncos.

The 6-foot-2, 245-pound linebacker from Waianae, Hawaii played collegiately at the University of Southern California from 2018 to 2021. Throughout 43 games, Mauga started in 24 of them and recorded 116 total tackles, 51 solo tackles, four sacks, two picks, four passes defensed, and one forced fumble. He was named to the 2021 Phil Steele All-Pac-12 third team as well as the 2021 All-Pac-12 honorable mention.

As the Las Vegas Raiders sign LB Kanai Mauga, the 23 year old will bring some youth to the team as an effective inside linebacker.

In other news, the Las Vegas Raiders waived linebacker Darius Harris along with receiver DJ Turner.
