Raiders Turkey Time Event Serves 600 Meals At Intermountain Health Performance Center

Three Square Food Bank also commits to the Raiders Turkey Time event

In advance of Tuesday’s Thanksgiving holiday, the Las Vegas Raiders celebrated the Raiders Turkey Time event along with Three Square Food Bank, contributing 600 meals to people and families in need.

Three Square Food Bank promised to provide 550 Christmas dinners at various pick-up locations around Southern Nevada as a way of giving back to the community. Additionally at Raiders Headquarters, Intermountain Health Performance Center, the entire Raiders team hosted and visited with 150 residents of the Southern Nevada Regional Housing Authority (SNRHA) for an exclusive meal that was provided by the team.

“Thank you to the Raiders organization from the top to the bottom, all the players and staff. Everyone treats us with world-class customer service, and we really appreciate it,” said Paula Tucker, Director of Supportive Services for the SNRHA.

Throughout the evening, the players visited, took pictures, and had a Christmas feast with the families. By the time the Raiders Turkey Time event was over, every family had a meal package with a turkey, fresh veggies, and all the necessities for the pantry.

Together, the Las Vegas Raiders have teamed up during the holidays with an organization that supports families in need of food assistance for the past ten years. Three Square Food Bank is the only food bank in Southern Nevada and the largest domestic hunger relief organization in the country. Over 42 million meals, or over 51 million pounds of food, were given to community members by Three Square between 2021–2022.

In Nevada, food assistance continues to be a major problem for many families. In keeping with the Raiders’ ongoing social responsibility, it is humbling to witness the Silver and Black’s Raiders Turkey Time event collaboration with Three Square Food Bank to serve meals to the community.
