Back to back wins baby, the Raiders vs Jets Week 10 matchup resulted in another victory for the Silver and Black as quarterback Aidan O’Connell, running back Josh Jacobs, and the Raiders defense held down the Aaron Rodgers-less Jets. Winning 16-12, the Raiders now hold a record of 5-5 and sit in third place in the AFC West.
Throughout three quarters of the game, Raiders kicker Daniel Carlson and Jets kicker Greg Zuerlein performed a kicker showdown as both completed a perfect game. Zuerlein put his team on the board with a 47-yarder while Carlson tied the game just minutes after with a 41-yarder.
Tied at 9-9, O’Connell rallied the Raiders in the fourth quarter and found receiver Michael Mayer for a 7-yard touchdown to bring the Raiders up 16-9. Jacobs’ 116 rushing yards on 27 carries was a tremendous outing as well as Davante Adams’ 86 receiving yards on six catches. O’Connell finished the game with 153 passing yards, one touchdown, and one pick.

On the other end, Jets QB Zach Wilson completed 23 passes of his 39 attempts for 263 yards. His lone interception was thrown at the Raiders 15 yard line with 1:22 remaining on the clock in the fourth. Credit goes out to linebacker Robert Spillane for the clutch play.
“There’s not too much difference between a 2-yard gain and a 4-yard gain, but when you get turnovers, you change the complexion of the game,” said Spillane.
The Las Vegas Raiders are now 2-2 under interim head coach Antonio Pierce. Without a doubt, the Silver and Black partied once again after the clock ticked down.
“I had fun when I got in the locker room,” said Pierce. “When I was out there on the grass, that was stressful.”
With a big test up ahead, the Raiders will face off against the AFC East 1st seed Miami Dolphins at Hard Rock Stadium in Week 11.
