Losing 13-20, the Raiders vs Dolphins Week 11 matchup on Sunday was a hard pill to swallow as the Las Vegas Raiders were kept scoreless in the second half. Aidan O’Connell’s 271-yard day was overshadowed by his three interceptions, all thrown after the halftime break.
Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa threw the first touchdown of the game, and to receiver Tyreek Hill (to no one’s surprise) for 38 yards. Hill had a monstrous day, racking up 10 catches for 146 yards for his sixth 100+ yard game this 2023 NFL season.
Raiders receiver Davante Adams led all Silver and Black receivers with 82 yards, 7 receptions, and a touchdown. O’Connell found Adams right before the end of the first quarter for a 46-yard touchdown to take over the lead at 10-7. In the second, Tagovailoa threw a 11-yard touchdown to running back Salvon Ahmed for the lead change.

After a number of field goals on both ends, the 13-20 game was still only decided by one possession, and the Raiders were back on the offensive following a turnover on downs from their previous drive. Unfortunately, O’Connell was picked off on a 4th & 6 by Dolphins linebacker Jaelan Phillips.
The Raiders had one more chance after the 2-minute warning to either tie or win the game. O’Connell connected on a few passes to Tre Tucker, Ameer Abdullah, and Adams to bring the ball near the red zone. On a 2nd & 10, as O’Connell aimed for Tucker deep down the middle in the end zone, Dolphins cornerback Jalen Ramsey snatched the ball out of thin air, destroying all potential of the game winning drive by the Silver and Black.
Got to give credit where credit is due as the Dolphins played one heck of the game. We’ll see what the AFC rivals Kansas City Chiefs have in store for us next week.
